The Console Wars

Nowadays we have three video game consoles battling for the title of "the best". Those consoles are Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. Considering I have been a Nintendo fan since I was 8-years-old, I think the Wii U wins that war. When I was in 3rd Grade, the Wii was the popular console in my classroom and everyone in my class either had one or wanted one. Then when I hit 6th Grade, all the kids were about PS3 and Xbox 360, fighting over which console is better sometimes I would join in and ask "What about the Wii?" and they would say something like "Nintendo is for kids". In my opinion, Nintendo is for both kids and adults. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy Legend of Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, or Smash Bros. Just because a game is clean, doesn't make it for little kids. I believe that those M-Rated games where your going around stealing cars and killing people aren't good games because they encourage violence wheareas the Mario and Donkey Kong games are completely clean and have no violence, bad language, or inappropriate content whatsoever. The only M-Rated game I'm a fan of is Assassin's Creed because it is an RPG rather than a first-person shooter. I know this is my personal opinion, but I'm just trying to set it straight that PlayStation and Xbox aren't the only people in gaming, remember about Nintendo and don't forget to respect our elders like SEGA and Atari.

My Stories

I started writing stories when I was 8-years-old and I wrote a series of books called the Superdogs. The stories were about a friend of mine who had stuffed animals that I would turn into superheroes who fought mythical creatures like minotaurs and gorgons. The series was mostly comedy but had a few serious moments every once in a while. All of my friends were really enjoying my Superdogs stories and thought they were really funny and imaginative so I decided to up my game a step further and chronicle my whole life in the form of stories and lists. I called the series "The Story of Matt" and told everything about my life in a short series of stories. It wasn't until this year, that I realized I want to be a writer when I grow up. So one night I was looking up ideas for fantasy stories (as I'm a huge fan of medieval fantasy stuff) the idea I found was where a dragon saves a princess from a knight. The story was about a dragon who moved to a medieval called Spamalot in which the king told him to save a princess named Annie from the evil Black Knight. To stop the knight he had to go into a dungeon filled with mythical beasts like goblins, imps, trolls, and even a Bigfoot. After fighting all the creatures, he finally met the knight and rescued the princess. The story featured a lot of pop culture references from Family Guy to Monty Python. Another story I wrote this year was called "Fred Instead" and it was where a kid met an alien who befriended him and went on an adventure with him, kinda like the movie "Paul" without all the swearing and bad parts. I have dreams of eventually being a writer that I will hopefully some day accomplish.
