A lot of you might not know this, but I was already typing when I was 3-years-old. Obviously they weren't actual stories, they were just short lists of things. Then when I was in Kindergarten, we had a writing class. At the time, I was obsessed with Neopets and most of my journals were short one-sentence journals like "Neopets are good" or something like that. The teacher then told me to write actual stories and I would write all kinds of things about guess what:Neopets. It even got to the point where the teacher had to make me stop writing about Neopets because it was too obsessive. In 1st Grade, I wrote about a lot of real experiences from hanging out with my friends to our cat having kittens, I wrote about almost everything. Then when I was 2nd Grade, I made a series of short stories called "The Superdogs. One of my friends had these stuffed dogs she would play with and in my stories I would turn them into superheroes who fight mythical creatures. They had a lot of toilet humor in them because I was 8-years-old at the time and that is the kind of humor 8-year-old boys like. Two years later, when I was in 4th Grade, the teacher asked us to write an autobiography chronicling our whole life from birth to 4th Grade. Most of the kids were like "Awh, do I have to?" but I was really excited. After I wrote it, the teacher published it and gave a copy to Mom and Dad. It wasn't until last Summer, that I realized I wanted to be a writer when I grow up. The first story I wrote was an unusual concept where a dragon saves a princess from a knight. It had plenty of obscure references to things I like from Family Guy to Bob's Burgers in it. Then I wrote a story where an alien meets a kid and teaches him about alien life. It was called Fred Instead and you could tell at this point, I was maturing with my humor. After that, I wrote one about a bird that was afraid of heights. The bird's name was Bob and him and his squirrel friend, Sam went to Florida to meet his Grandma Bird. At first, it sounds kind of like a ripoff of the movie Rio, but this one is more original than anything. Next, I wrote a story where I was the last man on Earth (almost like the new sitcom on Fox), it was where me and my dog had to survive in the city with no other people around, until a girl came a long. Last but not least, I did a story called The Knuckleheads where a kid from the Cincinnati moves to the country to go to a school for kids with ADHD. At the school he meets plenty of people from a hippie named Brody to the school bully, Richie Cinnamon. The story was kind of inspired by Diary of a Wimpy Kid, except it was set in the 80s. I have dreams of being a writer that I will hopefully some day accomplish. Maybe not a famous writer like Dr. Seuss, Stephen King, or Brian Griffin (just kidding!) but one who writes stories that people enjoy.

TV Show Review:Family Guy
Hi fellow blog readers, it's me Matt and I am going to review one of the funniest cartoons on Fox, Family Guy. First things first, I used to not like this show. I thought the whole idea looked stupid and I would constantly make fun of it. Until I sat down to watch an episode and now I'm a pretty big fan. My favorite Fox cartoon is defininetly Bob's Burgers, but this one is by far my second favorite. For those who are unaware, it is about the Griffin family and they go on all kinds of hilarious adventures. The family is made up of the dad, Peter, the mom, Lois, the teenage son, Chris, the daughter, Meg, the talking baby, Stewie, and the talking dog, Brian. Other characters include Quagmire, a guy who always says "Giggity, giggity, giggity, goo!" every time he sees a girl he likes. The Giant Chicken who is constantly getting into fights with Peter and Herbert, the creepy guy in the neighborhood. If I had to pick a favorite character it's tied between Peter and Stewie, I think they're both really funny. Family Guy makes fun a lot of things in pop culture from Looney Tunes to Adam Sandler to Star Wars to Disney to The Muppets, it makes fun of everybody equally. The one thing that I don't like is when they make fun of religion. I believe that there are so many things you CAN do parodies of, that you should probably leave religion out of it. I always change the channel when they start doing that. One of my favorite things on the show is the signature "cutaway gags" in which a character says something and goes to something completely random. They always crack me up. Every few seasons they do something called a "chicken fight" in which a giant chicken jumps out of nowhere and him and Peter start beating each other. These fights sometimes go on for FIVE minutes (I'm pretty sure one was seven minutes), but they're still hilarious. My favorite episode is the crossover with the Simpsons, in which the Griffin family ends up in Springfield. Not only does everybody from the Simpsons show up, but Bob Belcher from Bob's Burgers even makes a cameo, it can't much better than that. All in all, Family Guy is a funny show that I recommend you watch if your looking for a good laugh on a boring day.

Our Puppy, Lakota
This Tuesday, we got a new dog named Lakota Siox. She is a really cute boxer and rottweiler mix. Our beagle, Rooster (who I'm sure I've mentioned in other blogs) likes to hang out with her and they play together. Last Summer, we lost our beloved dog, Shawnee and Rooster was very sad. But now he is happy again. As soon as we brought Lakota home, Rooster was acting all cute and trying to play with her. She is a really sweet dog and is nice to all of us. Hopefully she will grow up to be a good guard dog.

Subeta.net
In the early 2000s, my favorite website was Neopets. I had a dragon-like creature called a Scorchio, but my favorite thing about it was the Petpets. That's right, I became obsessed with those cute little creatures. I had pictures of all of them saved on the computer and would anticipate the release of new ones. Fast forward to 2009, I was in 5th Grade and I found about a site called Subeta that is supposedly "Neopets for older audiences". I was intrigued by the idea, so I went on the site and thought it was AWESOME! In my opinion, Subeta is strictly for us 2000s kids, who grew up with Neopets and would like something similar for our demographic. So yesterday, I went onto Subeta and made a blue dog-like creature named Rooster, after my real life dog. So if you would like to kill some time. I recommend you check out Subeta.net

The Top 10 Best Smash Bros. Fighters
I've been in a Smash Bros. mood lately. I already listed the top 10 fighters I want to see, so now I'm going to list the top that are already there.
Rules:
1. Modded characters don't count.
2. Characters that aren't in the Wii U version don't count, either. Sorry Snake, Wolf, & Ice Climbers.
3. Mii fighters don't count.
10:Yoshi
Yoshi is not only REALLY cute, but he is a good character as well. He can throw eggs, swallow fighters whole, and has the cutest voice ever. He makes a good #10 on this list.
9:Pac-Man
I have always wanted to see Pac-Man in Smash. As far as third party fighters are considered, he is a very popular choice. So when I found he was going to be in the new game, I was SO hyped. Now that I've played as him, he is a very good fighter who references 80s video games in his moveset. I love the Galaga reference, by the way.
8:Captain Falcon
FALCON PUNCH! Sorry, just had to do that. I've been a Captain Falcon player since Melee and I can honestly say, he is one of the best characters in the game. His "Falcon Punch" may get kind of annoying after a while, but he is still a tough fighter.
7:Luigi
I'm sure you didn't expect Luigi, did you!? Luigi is one of the characters that fans don't give enough love, kind of like Jarjar Binks or Meg from Family Guy. Anyway, he is very fun to play as and is certainly one of the brothers in Super Smash BROTHERS!
6:Palutena
I know I'm a guy, but nowhere does the rulebook state that I can't play a female fighter. For those who don't know, she is from the Kid Icarus series and is supposedly the goddess of light because the Kid Icarus games are heavily based off of Greek mythology. In Smash Bros, her moves mostly use magic which it is nice to have a magic using fighter.
5:Greninja
Greninja is a water-type Pokemon that has a very good moveset but the whole reason he's on this list is how the announcer says his name. "GRAYNINJA!", I crack up every time.
4:Sonic the Hedgehog
How could I forget this blue speedy hedgehog? He is Sega's mascot and was Mario's rival in the 90s. Until Sony and Microsoft came along in the 2000s and changed that. In Smash Bros, he is a very strong fighter but he is also fast. So be careful using him on smaller stages.
3:Mario
There's no way you can make this list without Nintendo's number 1 character, Mario. He is the most recognizable game character in the world and is without a doubt Nintendo's best character.
2:Kirby
Just so you know, Kirby was the first fighter I bought an Amiibo of. I loved playing him in Brawl, so I decided I would purchase a Kirby amiibo alongside my Smash Bros. game. Back on the subject, Kirby is one of the best fighters in the whole series and was one of the first ones confirmed to be in the new Smash.
1:Duck Hunt Dog
Seriously, I'm not joking, Duck Hunt Dog is my number 1 favorite fighter. He may seem weak, but once you play as him you'll realize how tough he is. I have played as this fighter many times and have no flaws with him. Except for one thing:why the heck are the ducks helping him. I thought he was Duck HUNT Dog, not Duck Helper Dog. That's ducked up!
That is my list for today, see 'ya soon on the Matt show!

My Thoughts:Super Smash Bros. Downloadable Fighters
Nintendo confirmed on April 1st that Mewtwo from Pokemon and Lucas from Earthbound will be returning as downloadable characters in Super Smash Bros. 4. At first, I thought that it was probably just an April Fool's Day prank, but apparently it wasn't. If you ever played any of the Mugen games it will be similar to that. There is also a Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot, where you suggest characters for them to add. I voted for Snake, because he was my favorite in Brawl more so than Ice Climbers and Wolf. Even though they probably won't do it, I think a downloadable Adventure Mode would be nice, too. Adventure Mode feels like the ONE thing that is missing in the new game, I just REALLY miss it. Imagine how cool a story mode with a Mario, Sonic, Link, Pikachu, Ness, Pac-Man, Megaman, Shulk, Duck Hunt Dog, Wii Fit Trainer, and Kirby would be. AWESOMENESS OVERLOAD! They could even add some classic enemies like Primids and Buckots from the old Adventure Mode, in a similar vein to Smash Run. I am REALLY looking forward to Mewtwo and Lucas and I cannot wait to see what else they add.
