Dumb and Dumber To
Last Friday, me and Dad went to see a really funny movie called "Dumb and Dumber To" at the theater. By the way, before you get on me for not spelling the word "two" right, it is because that is the title of the movie and the characters are very dumb. The movie was really funny and was about two guys named Harry and Lloyd. It was filled with the silly gross-out gags those movies are known for. The characters kind of reminded of Beavis and Butthead and they both make Patrick from Spongebob look like Stephen Hawking in comparison, lol. I enjoyed the movie and I'm glad we went to see it!

The Console Wars
Nowadays we have three video game consoles battling for the title of "the best". Those consoles are Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. Considering I have been a Nintendo fan since I was 8-years-old, I think the Wii U wins that war. When I was in 3rd Grade, the Wii was the popular console in my classroom and everyone in my class either had one or wanted one. Then when I hit 6th Grade, all the kids were about PS3 and Xbox 360, fighting over which console is better sometimes I would join in and ask "What about the Wii?" and they would say something like "Nintendo is for kids". In my opinion, Nintendo is for both kids and adults. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy Legend of Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, or Smash Bros. Just because a game is clean, doesn't make it for little kids. I believe that those M-Rated games where your going around stealing cars and killing people aren't good games because they encourage violence wheareas the Mario and Donkey Kong games are completely clean and have no violence, bad language, or inappropriate content whatsoever. The only M-Rated game I'm a fan of is Assassin's Creed because it is an RPG rather than a first-person shooter. I know this is my personal opinion, but I'm just trying to set it straight that PlayStation and Xbox aren't the only people in gaming, remember about Nintendo and don't forget to respect our elders like SEGA and Atari.

My Stories
I started writing stories when I was 8-years-old and I wrote a series of books called the Superdogs. The stories were about a friend of mine who had stuffed animals that I would turn into superheroes who fought mythical creatures like minotaurs and gorgons. The series was mostly comedy but had a few serious moments every once in a while. All of my friends were really enjoying my Superdogs stories and thought they were really funny and imaginative so I decided to up my game a step further and chronicle my whole life in the form of stories and lists. I called the series "The Story of Matt" and told everything about my life in a short series of stories. It wasn't until this year, that I realized I want to be a writer when I grow up. So one night I was looking up ideas for fantasy stories (as I'm a huge fan of medieval fantasy stuff) the idea I found was where a dragon saves a princess from a knight. The story was about a dragon who moved to a medieval called Spamalot in which the king told him to save a princess named Annie from the evil Black Knight. To stop the knight he had to go into a dungeon filled with mythical beasts like goblins, imps, trolls, and even a Bigfoot. After fighting all the creatures, he finally met the knight and rescued the princess. The story featured a lot of pop culture references from Family Guy to Monty Python. Another story I wrote this year was called "Fred Instead" and it was where a kid met an alien who befriended him and went on an adventure with him, kinda like the movie "Paul" without all the swearing and bad parts. I have dreams of eventually being a writer that I will hopefully some day accomplish.

Comic-Con 2014
Mom and I went to Comic-Con yesterday. I had a VERY fun time and got to see all kinds of cool stuff. I met the guy who plays Bofur on the Hobbit and also Lou Ferigno and Jewel Staite from Firefly.
When we first walked in we saw a giant knight statue riding a dragon. Mom took a picture of me with it. Then we walked into the Comic Center and saw people dressed in amazing costumes including Louise from Bob's Burgers and a Yip-Yip from Sesame Street. There were all kinds of booths with cool stuff from every fandom including comic books, video games, movies, cartoons, anime, fantasy, sci-fi, superheroes, ponies, Muppets, and pretty much every thing else. After we looked around for a while we saw a panel with Jewel Staite and had a great time.
Then we tried grilled cheese donuts, because I heard they we're good. I thought they were OKAY because they tasted a little good. Seriously, I don't even think Homer Simpson would like them. I bought three posters of Super Smash Bros, Bob's Burgers, and The Hobbit. Afterwards, we got Chinese food and bought me a new Mario game. It was the most fun I had had in years!

Gamer's Education:The History of Smash Bros.
For those who are unaware, Super Smash Bros. is a crossover fighting game featuring many of Nintendo's characters like Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and Pikachu as well as a few characters from other franchises like Pac-Man, Solid Snake, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
The series started out as an idea for a video game called "Dragon King:The Fighting Game". It featured no Nintendo characters, just faceless models fighting each other. Then Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of the Kirby series thought about adding recognizable Nintendo characters to the game and thus the franchise was born. The characters in the first game were Mario, Luigi, Kirby, Link, Samus, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Fox, Ness, Captain Falcon, and Yoshi. Did you know that Peach, Mewtwo, Meowth, Bowser, and King Dedede we're going to be included but we're cut due to disc space? Even Banjo Kazooie and James Bond we're going to be included. The game was unlike any other fighting game of it's time because instead of life bars from games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, the goal of the game was to knock the other play off a platform. Another thing that made Smash Bros. original was the inclusion of items similar to the ones in Mario Kart. Items were a completely new concept that had never been seen in fighting games before. In 2001, Nintendo launched a sequel to Smash Bros. called Super Smash Bros. Melee. It featured many new characters including Bowser, Zelda, Marth, Pichu, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, and Princess Peach. In the original creation of the game they we're planning on replacing Ness with Lucas (another Earthbound character) but they couldn't due to time constraints. It was also confirmed that Konami's Solid Snake was going to be included but was taken out for the same reason. Melee also had a brand new mode called Adventure Mode that was a platforming adventure going around levels fighting enemies. There were a few beta elements in the game that are only available via hacking. The first one is a stage that was set in the middle of Japanese bar and the others are two trophies:Toon Zelda and Mario Riding Yoshi. In 2005, Nintendo announced a sequel to Melee called Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Nintendo finally included Solid Snake as a playable character because the head of Konami practically them to and they also included Sonic the Hedgehog via fan request. This game was unlike no other. Not only did it feature 35 characters, 45 stages, and 100+ music tracks but it featured a brand new adventure mode called the Subspace Emissary. The mode played similar to an RPG and was about going around stages fighting creatures called the Subspace Army. In 2010, Shigeru announced a 4th Smash Bros. game that would feature a lot of new content including Capcom's Megaman as a playable character. The game has yet to come out, but is said to come out around Christmas 2014.

Monty Python Live
I got into Monty Python in 2013 when I saw the Spam episode of the show. I was intrigued by the show's interesting way of humor and Terry Gilliam's wacky animations. I then watched some more episodes of the show, the Holy Grail, and my personal favorite, The Meaning Of Life. Then earlier this year, Mom told me that the Pythons were having a live performance from England that will be broadcast near where we live. So me and Mom went to see that performance and we laughed our heads off, it was SUPER funny and featured all of my favorite sketches. Thanks for reading and remember to always look on the bright side of life!

My Favorite Comedian
I have always enjoyed an edgy sense of humor. Humor that is a little inappropriate, but not enough to be dirty. I enjoy plenty of comedians such as Larry the Cable Guy, Brian Regan, and Gabriel Iglesias, but my all time favorite is ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham. Jeff Dunham is a comedian who uses puppets to make funny situations.
His characters include:
Walter: A grumpy old man who doesn't really care about anything but himself.
Peanut - A strange primate-like creature called a Woozle who is incredibly rowdy.
Achmed - A dead terrorist who says "Silence I KILL YOU!" all the time.
Bubba J - Your average redneck guy.
Sweet Daddy Dee - A guy who is supposedly Jeff's manager.
Melvin - A superhero who stopped a speeding bullet....once!
Achmed Jr. - Achmed's son.
Little Jeff - A dummy that Peanut made to make fun of Jeff.
Jose Jalapeno on A Stick - A talking jalapeno who Peanut often makes fun of.

My Favorite Animal
Don't get me wrong, I love cats, but dogs are by far my favorite animal! I currently have two dogs named Rooster and Shawnee. Rooster is a little beagle. Actually, he isn't a LITTLE beagle considering how much he eats, but you get the idea. He is 1-year-old and is a very cute and sweet dog. I am his owner, I feed him, water him, and walk him all the time. He really likes me and follows everywhere I go. Then we have, Shawnee. She is the family dog and she loves all of us. We named her Shawnee after Shawnee Lookout Park, if any of you know where that is. I REALLY love both of those dogs and they are special to me.
My REAL Thoughts on The Wii U
When I had said that about Wii U, I wasn't very knowledgeable about the subject. At the time, I thought that the Wii U was simply a handheld Wii. But then, me and my Mom did some research, and found out the Wii U is much, much, more. The Wii U looks amazing and I'm sorry if I offended any Nintendo fans. In fact, I like the Wii U so much, I might get it for my birthday, :D.

My Videos
When I was in middle school, I made a spoof of 90s kids show "Zoboomafoo". I took the video footage and added fart sounds, burp sounds, explosions, and bleeped profanity. It was my first video! I found out that other people made similar videos called YouTube Poops and I started making a whole bunch of these videos, usually parodying Zobomafoo and Mario. Then I started using other sources like Sesame Street, The Muppets, Pokemon, and Toy Story. I started learning new techniques like speeding up, slowing down, and muting videos. A year later, my computer broke and Mom and Dad bought me a laptop. That laptop just happened to come with a webcam, I started filming videos of my self. I called them Effects Compilations because I would film me performing random special effects like cloning myself, disappearing, and blowing things up. I started watching other effects artists like my personal favorite Justtubeyreturns. I started using Justtubey's ideas and calling them my own by remaking them. After months of remaking videos, I finally came up with my own effects short films. They used LOTS of random special effects and had little to no story. On my 13th birthday, my friend, Dalton showed me an animated sketch show called asdfmovie. Asdfmovie is a series in which stick figures perform a bunch of random 3-second clips. I decided to make my own sketch comedy, in which I parodied pop culture. They were similar to Mad Magazine, because I included Spy vs. Spy and Don Martin-style cartoons, as well as images of Alfred E. Neuman. Because of that resemblance to Mad, I called it Matt Mad. That Summer, I asked Mom if I could upload my stuff to YouTube. She said that's fine, as long as I don't post inappropriate stuff. At first, I had trouble thinking of a name for it. I was going to call it "Visualfxguy" but that was taken so I ended up calling it "1visualfxguy", because I'm an only child who does visual effects videos. I uploaded 100+ effects videos just that Summer. I would upload stuff almost every day (mostly silly stuff). A year later, I found out there was a video contest at the library, in which you could make a video and win an ITunes giftcard and have your face in the paper. I made a short film called "Swiss News Live At The Library", which featured a cast of brand-new characters, including the News Guy, Darth Vader, Elvis Presley, The World's Oldest Baby, and Jim the Muppet. I ended up winning the contest and the librarians said they were laughing so hard. I figured I wanted to start making comedy videos and stop the silly stuff I had previously done. So, I made some new characters and made a new channel called "One-Eyed Willy Johnson Productions". I tried to post my videos to a gaming forum and the moderator said the name sounded inappropriate. So, I made a new channel called "2MattTV". If you want to see some funny videos, check me out on 2MattTV today!

The Crack Master
In the 1970s, a Sesame Street skit aired that scared many kids. It is about a girl laying on her bed imagining cracks on the wall turning into animals. She befriends them, until a giant monster appears and declares loudly "I AM CRACK MASTER!", then he destroys himself by melting to the floor. The girl then thanks the camel for the ride. It was lost for years and not even a screenshot of it was shown online. Me and my friend, Dalton REALLY wanted to see it. We looked all over the web and couldn't find anything. Until, last Christmas, I got a message from Muppet Central Forum saying this long lost clip was uploaded to YouTube. And here it is:

Cutie and the Beast
Last year, I joined Drama Class because I thought it would be fun to preform a play in front of a live audience. And let me tell you, it was AWESOME!!!!! On the first day, I met a new friend and we talked a lot about our favorite YouTube videos. On the next day, the instructor said we will be doing a play called Cutie & The Beast. I didn't want to be the Beast because it didn't want to be the bad guy and I didn't want to be the witch because witches are usually female. So I chose to be an elf. Me and some friends talked and said I was going to be the Elvis Elf. Who is an elf that is obsessed with Elvis Presley. On the day of the play, I made the audience laugh hard with my Elvis-based character. I even adlibbed a little beforehand. The play was a success and I can't wait to join again next year.
Holy Grail Party
One night, me and my mom had a special movie night. We made popcorn and watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". I love the Pythons, and I thought it was a hilarious movie. It is a must see for all British humor fans.
My Love of the Muppets
When I was 6-months-old, I watched Sesame Street for the first time on PBS. I was amused at all of the Muppets and thought it was an amazing show. My favorite character was Elmo, but I liked all the other ones as well. I didn't really like the scenes without Muppets in them, though. Then, when I got a little older I started watching the Muppet Show and Muppet movies. They were so incredibly funny and I started collecting Muppet merchandise. I had three Pallisades figures of Rizzo the Rat, Dr. Teeth, and Crazy Harry, but they are all broken now. Then, I started watching Fraggle Rock. It was very good and just like the Muppets and Sesame Street, it had amazing humor. I still to this day love anything Henson and me and my mom are going to watch the Dark Crystal some night soon.
Wii vs. Wii U
I got my Wii when I was in 3rd Grade. I was my Aunt's house and one of second-cousins was playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I wanted a Wii so bad. A couple weeks later, I finally got a Wii with two games: Wii Sports and SSBB for doing good in school. I had trouble with the Wii controls at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. I now own at least 20 different games in my Wii library. But the question is: how good IS the Wii U. I personally don't own a Wii U because I feel it just a handheld version of the Wii. Sure there are some good games, but I'm just not all that interest in having the same old Wii with a new controller. So, in my opinion the Wii is the game system EVER!
Big Bang Theory Night
Every Thursday, me, my mom, and dad sit down and watch our two favorite comedies: The Big Bang Theory and Bob's Burgers. We have a lot of fun watching them. If I don't like the episode, I ask Mom to sing Soft Kitty to me, LOL.
My Thoughts : Rosalina and Luma in Super Smash Bros. 4
I was kinda shocked when I heard they were adding another princess to the Smash Bros. games. Aren't Peach and Zelda, enough!? Can't they just have a tough female character!? I know I'm a male gamer, but I still think it would be nice to add somebody like Katniss from the Hunger Games to the Smash Bros. getup
My Dog Rooster
When I was 13-years-old, my mom and dad got a little beagle pup. He was really rowdy and was always into trouble. We named him Rooster because that sound like a good name for him. One day, Dad told me he could be my dog as long as I feed, water, and walk him. I was so excited because I never had my own dog before. Rooster is and always will be my favorite dog. Sorry, Lassie.
