Super Smash Bros. Poem

I was only 8-years-old you see,
Had never cared about Nintendo Wii,
Until one day I was at my Aunt's house,
Talking about Pokemon and my dog Scout,

I will never forget that day,
As something happened that was very great.
Like a cheetah in the wild,
I saw something on TV that made me smile,

I rushed down to the basement,
On the TV, I saw Pikachu doing a faceplant,
This game sounds like fun,
Could I play when he's done?

After while, I played with my cousin
I saw characters by the dozen,
I picked Kirby and got beat bad,
But still, the game made me glad.

Finally a month later... What could it be?
I got my own Nintendo Wii,
I played Smash Bros. all day long,
I even wrote a Sonic theme song.

It was the best game I had ever played,
I just wish all my unlockables stayed,
I beat the Adventure Mode again and again,
I heard about a new game and wondered when.

I wasn't sure when we'd get the game new,
All I knew was a new console came too,
I got a Wii U for my fourteenth birthday,
I played Mario every single day,

But something was missing,
The other games, I'm not dissing,
The characters were far too few,
For I really wanted the Smash Bros. for Wii U,

I waited and waited for that game to come out,
Spent hours looking at new fighters announced.
I hoped to find the old character Pac-Man,
They ended up adding him just like I planned.

Then one day at the end of Fall,
I was shopping at the Florence mall,
When we went to the GameStop store,
My heart dropped suddenly to the floor.

I saw the game on display,
It was the game I had dreamed about day after day,
I asked my Grandma if it could be mine,
She said "Yes, it's going to be Christmas time,"

So I took it home and put it in my Wii U,
I took off the sticker, it smelled brand new,
I waited for it to load,
1, 2, 3, GO!

I always like getting new characters in Smash,
Because I gotta catch 'em all, just like Ash.
So if you need me, you know where I'll be,
Playing Super Smash Bros. on the TV.
