Not many people know this, but I was already typing when I was 3-years-old. They weren't short stories like they are now, of course. They were just lists. I would spell a lot of things in wrong in them but hey, at least I was trying.
When I was Kindergarten, I found out that I had a hard time writing on paper because of my NLD. I even came up with a name for it, I called it Pincharonidis. Because you have trouble grabbing a pencil, and I'm pretty Pincharon was the name of a Neopet. Speaking of Neopets, I was obsessed with them and they were pretty much all I wrote about at the time. At first, I would just write short one sentence journals like "Neopets are good" or something along those lines until the teacher made me write actual stories.
In 1st Grade, I was writing all kinds of things both real and made-up. I even made up my own language called Blem and wrote my own dictionary. I called it the Mitchionary. In 2nd Grade, I wrote my first series of stories called The Superdogs. My inspiration was a friend who had these toy dogs she liked to play with. In the story, they came to life and turned into superheroes. Since I was 7 at the time, they contained a lot of immature toilet humor.
In 4th Grade, I chronicled my whole life in the form of an autobiography. I called it "The Story of Matt". Most kids would think of it is a chore, but I was just bored one day so I did it for fun. In 5th and 6th Grade, I started making my own movies which kind of got me away from writing for a while.
It wasn't until 9th Grade, that I realised I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. So one day, I was looking up funny fantasy story ideas and I found one where a dragon saves a princess from a knight. I wrote the story in a few hours and it had a bunch of pop culture references from Family Guy to Monty Python. It was the first story I had written with no toilet humor whatsoever.
Then that Summer, I wrote a story where an alien comes to Earth and befriends a kid. It was called "Fred Instead", which was kind of like E.T. meets Lilo & Stitch meets Star Wars. I also wrote a story about a bird who was afraid to fly. It was almost like the movie "Rio" but set in Florida. Then I wrote a story where me and my dog were the last living things on Earth, until a girl comes a long that is. Finally, I wrote a story about a kid named Zed Buckmaster who moves from the country to the city and goes to a high school. I call it the Knuckleheads. I have a dream of becoming a writer that I someday hope to achieve. I also wrote an entire parody series that combines Family Guy with the movie Rio. It had lots of fourth wall breaks, immature humor, and a cutaway in every chapter.
